It is important to note that some combustible gases do not contain carbon monoxide, which can only be produced under incomplete combustion. If monitoring combustible gas leakage is required, a combustible gas alarm should be selected. Additionally, the CO detector has airflow holes on both sides of the shell, near the back of the product, designed to allow external carbon monoxide gas to enter the inside of the detector. Only carbon monoxide entering the detector can be effectively detected and displayed.

To test the normal and usable reading of the CO detector, we recommend using tape to fix the CO detector in a glass cover, and then lighting a cigarette inside. After a few minutes, the CO detector will display the specific concentration of carbon monoxide. During the test, it is crucial to ensure there is no air flow around the CO detector, as this could cause the carbon monoxide generated from the incomplete cigarette combustion to be blown away, resulting in the detector displaying 0PPM.

The GS828A CO alarm is equipped with a premium electrochemical CO sensor that has a long lifespan of up to 10 years. The LCD screen indicates the CO concentration and alarm status, while the three-color LED indicator (green, yellow, and red) displays power, fault, and alarm conditions, respectively. The alarm sound at 85 dB ensures that everyone in the home, including those who are sound asleep, will be alerted to the potential danger, providing more time to escape.

In comparison with standard CO detectors, the SITERWELL wireless and plug-in CO detectors offer additional features. The wireless model is battery-powered, while the plug-in version can be powered by both battery and AC. Both provide CO detection and LCD display capabilities.
